Lise de la Salle (Piano)

Born: 1988 - France

The French pianist, Lise de la Salle, began to play piano at age 4. At 9 she gave her first concert, which was broadcast live by Radio France. She made her debut at 13 at the Louvre. Since 2003 she attends the master-class of Bruno Rigutto at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. She has already won First Prize in both the 2004 Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York and the 2003 European Young Concert Artists Auditions in Paris by the time she was 16 years old. In addition, she made gust appearances at the renowned piano festival La Roque d’Anthéron and at the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival. Le Monde writes that de la Salle "possesses a youthful single-minded spirit and the courage of conviction seldom expected of such a young artist."
