The Belgian soprano, Hilde Van Ruymbeke, studied singing at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, including with Marius van Altena and Jill Feldman. Following her studies, she attended master-classes with Emma Kirkby and Elly Ameling.
Hilde Van Ruymbeke specializes in music from the early Baroque, and is often heard with the Dutch chamber music ensembles such as La Primavera, Ludovice Ensemble and Duo Rosemont. She sings solo in J.S. Bach's cantatas and oratorios, and is a member of Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe), Amsterdam Baroque Choir (Director: Ton Koopman), Currende and the Nederlandse Bachvereniging (Director: Jos van Veldhoven). With Ensemble Fortuna she sings music from the 14th century and she was a guest at the Festival of Flanders.
