Elke Rutz (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: Germany

The German mezzo-soprano and vocal coach, Elke Rutz, completed her vocal training in Munich with Hartmut Elbert, among others.

Elke Rutz works extensively and is dedicated to both solo and ensemble singing. She is a member of the soloist ensemble Die Gruppe für alte Musik, Balthasar-Neumann-Chor (Director: Thomas Hengelbrock), and Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius). She performs regularly as a soloist for new music, such as at the Tage für Neue Musik Würzburg and Kassel or the Biennale in Munich. She is vocal coach of the Münchner Frauenchor since 2001.
