The German tenor, Hans-Josef Ritzerfeld ("Hajo"), studied after his exams, first in Köln music and theology for the profession of teaching at the High School. At the Kölner Musikhochschule he also began his first singing studies. After his state examination, he continued his studies with Professor Karl Markus (Musikhochschule Frankfurt), who trained him as the lyric tenor. The meeting with Professor Heinz Marten became a crucial for his singing career. Heinz Marten, who had been an outstanding Lieder and oratorio singer in his time, led Hans-Josef Ritzerfeld into concert singing and remained artistic Mentor and paternal friend up to his death. |
