The German bass, Nicolas Ries, studied at Fürst-Johann-Ludwig-Schule in Hadamar. He studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz, obtaining BEd in Musik & Philosophie (2010-2012); and singing at Hochschule für Musik Mainz, obtaining his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz and Popular Music (2012-2015). He also studied Jazz singing at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida for one year (2016).
Nicolas Ries performs as Jazz vocalist as well as classical singer. He is a bass singer in the Jazz a-capella vocal quintet So! und nicht anders in Mainz (since December 2010) and Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius). |
