Ute Pruggmayer-Philipp (Piano)

Born: 1962 - Germany

The German pianist, and music pedagogue, Ute Pruggmayer-Philipp, studied from 1976 to 1985 studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden with Professor Günter Philipp, followed by one-year postgraduate studies at the Music Academy "Franz Liszt” in Budapest with Aniko Szegedi.

Ute Pruggmayer-Philipp has given numerous concerts and radio recordings at home and abroad as a pianist and improvisations, including duo piano improvisations with Günter Philipp.

Since 1986, Ute Pruggmayer-Philipp is directing the entire improvisation teaching at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden (piano and mixed group improvisation). In 1993 she was appointed Professor of piano and piano improvisation. Since 1987 she conducts an annual piano and improvisation courses at Altenburg Piano Seminar, and since 1990 also at West German music academies and abroad
