As a member of the BBC Singers, Kim Porter takes a probably perverse pleasure in getting her teeth stuck into the complex contemporary music the ensemble often performs. She loves the diversity of what they do, and the juxtaposition of programmes from the Renaissance to 'ink-wet' commissions is what keeps the job alive for her.
