Ulla Pilz (Soprano)

Born: Enns, Austria

The Austrian soprano, Ulla Pilz, studied solo singing, Lied and oratorio, as well as tuning, at the Conservatory of Vienna. She also participated in master-classes with H. Zadek, Elly Ameling and Max van Egmond.

Ulla Pilz was engaged at the Wiener Konzerthaus, FestSpielHaus St. Pölten, Brucknerhaus Linz, Festivals "dreamscapes“ und "Wien-Berlin 1918-1938“, London, "musica sacra“, Bratislava, Sommerspiele Röttingen, Mozart/Rousseau auf der St. Peters-Insel (Switzerland), "Friendship Spring Art Festival“, Pjöngjang (North Korea), in vienna at the theaters Künstler- und Konzerthaus, Burgtheater, Metropol, Jugendstiltheater, Raimundtheater, Wiener Kammeroper and others, at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, at the Landestheater Salzburg, and more.

Ulla Pilz' roles include: Scintilla in La contadina astuta (Giovanni Battista Pergolesi/J.A. Hasse), Dorina in Il geloso schernito (P. Chiarini), Colette in Le devin de village (J.J. Rousseau), Bastienne in Bastien und Bastienne, Dem. Herz und Dem. Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor (W.A. Mozart), Sabinettchen in Luzifers Lächeln (G.v. Einem), Allegorie in Der sterbende Mensch (S. Eitan), Evy in Dolores (D. Kaufmann), Galathée in Die schöne Galathée (F.v. Suppé), Adele in Die Fledermaus (J.
