Michael Pavlu (Bass)

Born: Switzerland

The Swissbass, Michael Pavlu, acquired in Bern with Margrit Konrad and Jakob Stämpfli his teaching and concert diploma with distinction.

Michael Pavlu has been variously honored by the Tonkünstlerverein (Association of Musicians) and taught solo singing at the Musik-Akademie in Basel and at the Hochschule Luzern.

Michael Pavlu appears as a soloist at the Theater Basel, Grand Théatre de Genève, Theater Biel, Theater Lausanne, Ständetheater in Prgue, as well as at the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, in such rolers as Sparafucile, Komtur, Masetto, Basilio, Sprecher, Sarastro, Angelotti, Tod, Osmin, Trufaldin, Wassermann, Mutter. He follows extensive concert engagements (oratorio roles and Lieder cycles) at home and abroad. His concerts, LP and CD recordings have taken him to Germany, France, USA, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland and Israel.
