Joshua Ooms (Baritone)

Born: September 1991 - Windsor, Colorado, USA

The American baritone, Joshua Ooms , completed his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University (CSU), where his roles included Baron Zeta in The Merry Widow, Geronimo in Il matrimonio segreto and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd. Currently he studies at the Eastman School of Music under Dr. Robert McIver.

Joshua Ooms first appeared internationally as Don Alfonso in W.A. Mozart's Cosi fan tutte with the Opera Orvieto summer program in Orvieto, Italy. Recently, he sang as the bass soloist in four of J.S. Bach’s cantatas in Eastman School of Music: Bach Cantata Series and performed the role of Raphael as a guest soloist in CSU’s production of Haydn’s Creation. His later spring performances include M. Javelinot in Eastman’s production of Dialogues of the Carmelites and the role of Jesus in Rochester Bach Festival’s presentation of J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion (BWV 245).
