Kammerchor Olpe (Chamber Choir)

Founded: 1985 - Olpe, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

The Kammerchor Olpe was founded in 1985 on the occasion of the European Year of Music by Dietmar Schneider. In the chamber choir were integrated pupils of the vocal course at the St.-Franziskus-Gymnasium Olpe. Since its foundation, the chamber choir has always strived become a choir, which takes on the highest possible artistic level of all musical punkes and styles. The currently 64 members of the chamber choir are from Olpe, Drolshagen, Wenden, Kreuztal, Kirchhundem, Siegen, Bergneustadt und Altenhundem.

In the concert series "Kirchenmusik in Heilig-Geist, Olpe", the Kammerchor Olpe, together with the church community, is not only organizing its own concerts, but also presents young organists, renowned choirs and orchestras.
