The German bass, Klaus [Claus] Ocker, studied music from 1946 to 1951 at the 'Musikhochschule Hamburg'.
After finishing his studies, Klaus Ocker was many years active as an independent concert singer.
From 1969 Klaus Ocker started teaching at the 'Bremer Konservatorium'. In 1975 he started as a teacher at 'my' 'Hamburger Musikhochschule'. After his retirement in 1989, he has been several times visiting professor in the USA and China, and from 1991 to 1997 he was a teacher in Japan at the Music High Schools in Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka. |
