Volker Nietzke (Tenor)

Born: Germany

The German tenor, Volker Nietzke, studied in Berlin music education and vocal pedagogy at the University of Arts (UdK). He sttudied with Ulrich Bormann, Viktor Lederer and Reinhard Becker. He also attended master-classes with Håkan Hagegård and Christoph Prégardien.

Since 2011, Volker Nietzke is a member of the RIAS-Kammerchor. As a soloist he has performed especially in oratorio area with a repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary. He has toured here in Poland, Austria and Italy. In addition, he also debuted in several independent productions on stage, such as Arbace in W.A. Mozart's Idomeneo, as Menelaos in Offenbach's La Belle Hélène or as Johannson in Reimann's Gespenstersonate.
