Nora Meyer (Contralto)

Born: Coburg, Bavaria, Germany

The German contralto, Nora Meyer, studied October 2012 at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg singing in the class of Martin Hummel, since October 2012. She deepened her vocal studies in master-classes with Gerhild Romberger, Frieder Bernius and Dame Emma Kirkby.

Nora Meyer gained first stage experiences as a chorus member in several opera productions such as Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss or Paride ed Elena by Christoph Willibald Gluck. As part of the Opernschule der Hochschule für Musik, she took over solo parts in the early Baroque opera Orfeo by Luigi Rossi and in The Marriage by Bohuslav Martinu. Most recently, she was seen there as Forester's wife in Leos Janacek's The Cunning Little Vixen.

Nora Meyer can also be heard regularly in various church services and concerts, such as the Bach-Kantaten-Club Würzburg and the Monteverdichor Würzburg.
