Harald Martini (Bass)

Born: 1975 - Bombay, India

The Indian bass, Harald Martini, got his first musical training at the Folkwang-Musikschule, Essen. From 1983 he was a member of the Essener Domsingknaben, where he received lessons in singing, piano and organ playing from the Domkapellmeister Georg Sump. Since graduation, he studied singing at the Folkwang-Musikschule with Professor Soto Papulkas.

Besides opera projects, Harald Martini has been heard in numerous concerts with cantatas, masses and oratorios in the Ruhr Valley. He feels particularly connected with church music due to his musical origins.
