The Belgian tenor, Robert Luts, studied at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven and at the Conservatorium of Brussel, where he graduated with praise. He continued his studies in the opera class at the Conservatorium of Maastricht, and also participated in several master-classes. He won the singing competition in Clermont-Ferrand and of Erna Spoorenberg Internationale Vocalistenpresentatie.
Robert Luts has sung, among other things, Tamino in those Zauberflöte and was guest of several important festivals in Europe. At the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam he sang the Evangelist in Matthäus Passion (BWV 244). He also sang in the Requiem of Mozart and Carmina Burana by Orff.
Robert Luts can be heard on several radio and CD recordings.
Robert Luts teaches singing at the Stedelijk Muziekconservatorium in Hasselt and at the Katholieke Hogeschool in Limburg. |
