The Austrian tenor, Franz Leitner, studied at the Conservatory of Vienna. In 1998 he received diploma for Lied and Oratorio with David Lutz, and in 200 diploma for opera, both with excellent success. At presents he gets instruction Alois Aichhorn. He has also participated in master-classes with Walter Berry, Martha Eggert, Paul Esswood and James King. In 1998 he received 3^rd Prize of the jury and 1^st public Prize at the opertta competition "Internationalen Kunstförderung Nico Dostal"
