Nadia Lavoyer (Soprano)

Born: Agen, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

The French soprano, Nadia Lavoyer, did a lot of her training in Toulouse and won several singing, piano and early music awards at the Conservatoire National de Région de Toulouse, as well as a degree in musicology from the faculty of Toulouse-Le Mirail.

She performs all over the world, within prestigious musical ensembles such as Le Concert Spirituel (Director: Hervé Niquet), Solistes XXI (Director: Rachid Safir), Les Éléments chamber choir (Director: Joël Suhubiette), Huelgas ensemble (Director: Paul Van Nevel), Aedes (Director: Mathieu Romano), or Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon). In recent years, her activity is centered around her own ensemble togerther with the counter-tenor Frédéric Bétous, La Main Harmonique, which enjoys a flourishing exposure. They are dedicated to the exploration of musical masterpieces of the European Renaissance, while questioning the role of music artist in the 21st century through cross-curricular programs in which mix with early and contemporary music.They settled in Gers in 2010. This is a "back home" after twenty years between Toulouse and Paris. Based in the north of the region, around La Romieu, they take quickly awareness of the potential of the territory for their association La Main Harmonique and their activity of musical artists, and created in 2011 the Festival Musique en Chemin.
