Liliana Lafranchi (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: 1982 - Lugano, Switzerland

The Swiss mezzo-soprano, Liliana Lafranchi, received her first musical lessons when she was a child in piano, guitar and flute. Finally, she has found in her vocal ideal expression. After high school, she studied at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano and then as an Erasmus student for three semesters in Leipzig at the Musikhochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. There she worked with Adelheid Vogel and performed in concerts with the Salon Orchestra Cappuccino. In 2009 she received her teaching diploma in singing at the Hochschule für Musik of the City of Basel in the class of Verena Schweizer.

In 2009, she appeared as a soloist with the Orchester Zofingen (Conductor: C. More). She appears regularly in concerts with the pianists Sebastian Lava and Michelangelo Rinaldi. Currently she teaches as a freelance teacher.
