Les Solistes de Liège (The Soloists of Liège) was a chamber music ensemble, founded by Henri Koch and the conductor Géry Lemaire in in 1954 and again in 1969 by Emmanuel Koch. The ensemble appeared in France, Benelux, Canada (Montreal international exposition). The group has accompanied soloists as Marie-Claire Alain, Maurice André, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Jules Bastin, Jean-Jacques Grünenwald, Michaël Schneider, Ian Wallach, he animated musical life in Liège and Belgium for over fifty years and has helped to bring the reputation of the Liège violin school well beyond the borders of Belgium. |
