Les Solistes de Liège (Chamber Ensemble)

Les Solistes de Liège (The Soloists of Liège) was a chamber music ensemble, founded by Henri Koch and the conductor Géry Lemaire in 1954 and resumed in 1969 by his son Emmanuel Koch. The ensemble appeared in France, Benelux, Canada (Montreal international exposition). The group has accompanied soloists as Marie-Claire Alain, Maurice André, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Jules Bastin, Jean-Jacques Grünenwald, Michael Schneider, Ian Wallach. Henri-Emmanuel Koch animated musical life in Liège and Belgium for over fifty years and has helped to bring the reputation of the Liège violin school well beyond the borders of Belgium.
