The German bass, Helmut Kühnle, received his singing gift as bass from the paternal side (although there were only tenor there). Initially he studied singing privately with Hedwig Kuhn-Cantz. The he studied singing at the Opernschule (opera school in) Stuttgart with Kammersänger Josef Traxel. He gained his first opera experience at the Staatstheater Stuttgart and the Landesbühne Esslingen. He was scholarship holder of the Bayreuther Festspiele, and participated in master-class with Professor Lore Fischer. |
