Miyase Kaptan-Borst (Soprano)

Born: Germany

The German soprano, Miyase Kaptan (-Borst) was awarded the Master of Arts Degree for singing, oratorio and opera from the State Academy of Music, Munich, Germany. She received various awards of honor during opera competitions among them the big international opera competitions in Toulouse / France and Vienna / Austria.

Miyase Kaptan has performed in more than 30 different operas; she has been applauded as Violetta in Verdi's opera La Traviata, as Cio-Cio San in Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, as Nedda in Pagliacci, as Leonora in The Force of Destiny, as Lulù in the opera Lulù by Alban Berg... Several performances have also been transmitted by TV programs in Germany, Austria, Italy and Turkey.

Miyase Kaptan is gifted with a powerful voice combined with creativity, spontaneity and charisma, which often is pointed out in newspaper reviews, critiques and in TV interviews. She is giving every year several concerts and shows also together with many of her students which often result in an overwhelming standing ovations.
