Marta Joja (Harpsichord)

Born: March 29, 1928 - Romania

The Romanian pianist and harpsichordist, Marta [Martha] Joja, was a member of the Bucharest Ciprian Porumbescu Constrory teaching staff and of the Gruppetto vocsainstrumental ensemble. She is a well-known piano, harpsichord and spinet player. Her public appearances are ever widely acclaimed for the accuracy. suppleness and exprasivity of her executions, her respect for the text and her idiomatic adequacy, hallmarks of a first-rate artist. Through her deep affinities with pre-classic music, she renders with genuine mastery the rich. varied and profound world of J.S. Bach's harpsichord concertos. She played with Consortium Violae, Orchestra de Cameră a Filarmonicii de stat Oradea, Avy Abramovici, Corul Școlii generale nr. 155 București.
