Born: Japan

The Japanes pianist, Setsuko Iwasaki, was born into a musical family, and started playing piano at age 3. After graduating from the Music School of Tokyo University, she won a fellowship to study in France in 1968. She won a special prize as the best pianist at the International Music Competition in Vienna, Austria in 1971.
