Kenzo Ishii (Tenor)

Born: August 5, 1955 - Tokyo Taito Ward, Japan

The Japanese tenor, Kenzo Ishii (Kenzo Okinari), began to study singing from 3 years old, under Matsuda Toshi (Umuna aunt). In March 1978 he graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts Vocal Music Department; in March 1981, he graduated from graduate school with master's course completion. In May 1982, he completed Master studies at Munich Music University. He studied under Matsuda Toshi, Shiota Yoritake, Yoshioka Iwao, Nicola Rucci, Ernst Haefliger. In 1984, he was No. 2 in the male voice category at the 7th Johann Sebastian Bach International Competition. In 1984, he was No. 2 in tenor division at the Netherlands Heertgen-Bosch International Vocal Competition.

Kenzo Ishii returned to Japan in 1987, joined Mr. Fujiwara opera team, and became a member of the second term association later. From 1988 he made his debut in the musical world at Phantom Shiki's Phantom of the Opera (Nikko Theater), and was enrolled until 2009. He is representative of Tsukuba Opera Fiore, Tenor of Japan Federation Federation, Rotary Club of Tsukuba Gakuen, RI District 2 820 6th District, since 2009.

His activities have included: J.S. Bach's Matthew Passion (BWV 244) / John Passion BWV 245) - Evangelist and Aria (1979-1999); Ishii Kenzo Recital (1979-1993; Fujiwara Opera Group Friends Fritz (Opera) 1979, Manon · Lescaux (Opera) 1985; Tsukuba Opera Fiore 1988 launched performance - 2012 Madam Butterfly; Shiki Theater Company CATS (Old Dutronomy; 1991-2008); Phantom Shiki Phantom of the Opera (role of Ubardo Pianji; 1988-2009); Theater company Shiki Ondine (role of Mato; 2004-2005); Thomas the Tank Engine and the Nakama (Musical) (Sir TOP Ham Hat; 2009); Theater company M.M.C The Little Prince (musical) (geographer, the royal role; 2011).
