Haïda Housseini (Soprano)

Born: Lausanne, Switzerland

The Swiss soprano, Haïda Housseini, studied piano, singing and musical theory at the Conservatoire de Lausanne, her hometown. She continued her professional studies at the Consevatory of Freiburg in the class of Tiny Westendorp, where she obtained a diploma of teaching, then a first prize of virtuosity. She was twice a prize winner for study of the Fédération des coopératives Migros. She benefited from teaching from Arleen Augér and Agnès Giebel in Sommerbachakademie of Stuttgart, and from Hugues Cuénod in Sion.

Haïda Housseini's repertoire is centered on sacred music, the oratorio and the Lieder, but she is also devoted to the opera. She teaches at the Consevatory of Freiburg and l'Ecole de musique de la Gruyère. She and sings regularly in Switzerland and abroad.
