Mary Hitch (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: January 21, ____ - Hertford, Hertfordshire, England

The English mezzo-soprano, Mary Hitch, studied at Sir Frederic Osborn School. She obtained her Master of Music degree with Distinction from Clare College, Cambridge (1977-1982), and later studied at Lancaster University (2006-2007).

Mary Hitch was a member of the Cambridge Singers (Director: John Rutter) from 1984 to 2002 (maybe later). Since 2007, Mary Hitch is Senior Lecturer, Course Leader Joint Honours Musical Theatre at the University of Cumbria in Carlisle, also Study Leader in Singing, Centre for Advanced Training, Sage Gateshead. She is married with two daughters.
