Waltraud Heinrich (Contralto)

Born: Trier, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

The German contralto, Waltraud Heinrich, completed her singing studies with Professor Margit Kobeck in Cologne and participated successfully in several singing competitions.

Since 1986, Waltraud Heinrich worked as a contralto in the RIAS-Kammerchor in Berlin. She sings as a soloist in the major oratorios. Her repertoire includes various Lieder cycles, such as Schubert's Winterreise, Kindertotenlieder by Gustav Mahler, and Wesendonklieder by and Richard Wagner.
