Barbara R. Grabowski (Soprano)

Born: Germany

The German soprano, Barbara R. Grabowski, received already as a child instruction on various instruments, including piano, church organ and classical guitar. From the winter semester of 1996, she has studied in the singing class of Fr. Professor Vera U.G. Scherr at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim. She participated successfully in various national and international competitions, and extended her knowledge by participation in various master-classes.

Barbara R. Grabowski has appeared in her homeland and abroad, particularly with the Orchestra of Teatr Wielki Warsaw and with the Orchèstre Philharmonique de Luxembourg. She had her first theatrical experience as an ensemble member of the Kammeroper Mannheim, the Jungen Ensemble der Staatsoper Stuttgart and as a guest at the Stadttheater Heidelberg and at the Essener Philharmonie. Evidence to the variety of her musical work is also in instrument-talk nonsense-calibrates: like that she was a co-composer of two pieces on the album Music of Third I vision (Phazzadelic). In the classical area she took part in two CD productions as a soloist. She won scholarship from the Richard-Wagner-Verbandes and the Trude-Eipperle-Rieger-Stiftung.
