Matthias Fuchs (Piano)

Born: Germany

The German pianist, Matthias Fuchs, studied music in Frankfurt and Bloomington (Indiana/USA). There, he received his pianistic education in the classes of Professor Joachim Volkmann and Professor György Seboek and completed his professional education attending the master-classes of Günther Ludwig and Dorothy Taubman. He was a scholar of the German National Academic Foundation and the Rotary Foundation. Furthermore, he is prize-winner of various piano competitions such as the 25th International Piano Competiton in Enna (Italy).

With piano recitals and as a soloist with orchestra Matthias Fuchs toured through Europe, the USA, Israel and Japan. His concerts were broadcasted by several German stations. He also published CD's with music of J.S. Bach, L.v. Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt and R.R Klein and gave lectures as well as seminars at the Conservatories of Kunitachi and Showa in Tokyo and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Today, Matthias Fuchs teaches as Professor of Piano at the Conservatories of Mainz and Frankfurt. He regularly holds piano courses in Germany, France, Italy and Japan
