Michael Fellmann (Tenor)

Born: Mülheim an der Ruhr, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

The German lyric tenor, Michael Fellmann, studied singing at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen with Jakob Stämpfli. He finished his studies with the artistic maturity in theatre music, concert, Lied and oratorio. He also studied with Nicolai Gedda and Gwendolyn Killebrew.

Engagements have led Michael Fellmann to the Theater in Essen, Kiel and Leipzig, and to the radio stations WDR and NDR. He has also devoted himself to the oratorio and Lieder singing. The Evangelist roles in the oratorios of J.S. Bach are particularly among his recent concerts at home and abroad, and have led him to performing together with the Thomanerchor Leipzig and to participating in the Bachwoche Ansbach. He has performed also with the Gabrielichor Bern.
