Kai-Uwe Fanhert (Baritone)

Born: Germany

The German baritone, Kai-Uwe Fanhert, studied from singing from 1987 to 1993 with Professor Gerda Prof. Gerda Schriever in Leipzig and later with Professor Hans-Joachim Beyer and Joachim Vogt.

Kai-Uwe Fanhert made his debut in 1990 in Dessau. Since then his engagements led him to Rheinsberg, Rudolstadt, Leipzig and Nordhausen, and as an ensemble member to Nordharzer Städtebundtheater, to the Berliner Kammeroper, to the Neue Opernbühne Berlin and to the Staatstheater of Braunschweig and Cottbus. With numerous international tours he was active in the years 1993-1998 mainly in the concert and oratorio singing well as with Lieder recitals. His repertoire ranges from Mozart, Strauss, Wagner and Rossini to Georges Bizet, Janacek, Nyman and Ullmann.
