Chor der Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Dresden (Choir)

Founded: Dresden, Saxony, Germany

The Chor der Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Dresden (Choir of the School of Sacred Music in Dresden) consists of all students of ecclesiastical training institution in which young people prepare for the church music service.

Under the various Directors, the Choir has always been a prolific body of sound has been known over the borders of the region. Professor Martin Flämig, its founder, directed the Choir with numerous works of contemporary music - a tradition that was continued conscious in recent years. The Choir resgularly sings in worship of the Dresen communities. It also appears before the public with oratorio and cantata performances and a-capella concerts inside and outside of Dresden.

The programmes include traditional and contemporary works in balanced proportions. Numerous concert tours have taken the choir in different parts of Germany and abroad (Poland, Switzerland, Latvia, Estonia, Czech Republic)..
