Martina Daxböck (Soprano)

Born: Laaben, Lower Austria, Austria

The Austrian soprano and singing teacher, Martina Daxböck, received her first singing lessons at the Konservatorium für Kirchenmusik der Diözese St.Pölten with Mag. Martina Steffl-Holzbauer, before completing her studies in singing education at the der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna; MDW), in addition to the course "Sing.Klasse". She devoted herself to her passion for early music in numerous master-classes with Stephan Van Dyck, Emma Kirkby, Monika Mauch and Kurt Widmer, among others.

In the course of her long-term participation in choirs such as the Domkantorei St. Pölten, Concentus Vocalis Wien, Chorus sine nomine or Salzburger Bachchor, Martina Daxböck developed her ensemble singing, which she is also able to bring in as a soloist. As a versatile and sought-after singer, she has performed with renowned orchestras such as the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble and the L'Orfeo Barockorchester (Director: Michi Gaigg). She is a regular guest at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten and the Festival Musica Sacra St. Pölten, with the orchestra Solamente Naturale in Bratislava or as Filia in Carissimi's Jephte with the Company of Music in Stadttheater Wels. CD recordings complete her work.

In addition, Martina Daxböck works as a singing pedagogue at music schools in Lower Austria (Musikschule Sieghartskirchen, Karenzvertretung Musikschule Lichtenwörth, since 2010 in MSV Perschlingtal) and at various singing courses. She currently lives in Laaben.
