Frances Cooper (Soprano)

Born: Scotland, UK

The Scottish soprano, Frances Cooper, brings a wealth of experience as both performer and teacher to her role as vocal tutor in our workshops. As well as performing as a soloist in oratorio and recital around the country, she sings with the critically acclaimed ensembles Cappella Nova and Fires of Love, with whom she has made several recordings on the Linn and Delphian record labels. She has performed with the Dunedin Consort across Scotland and at the Belfast at Queen's Festival and in Noirlac, France. Together with the mezzo-soprano and the pianist Colin Dundas, she forms the vocal & piano trio Triplicity.

Frances Cooper has a busy private teaching practice, working with singers of all ages and levels of experience and also teaches singing at Fettes College in Edinburgh. In addition, she has been a vocal tutor for choral workshops around Scotland for a number of years.
