Philipp Cieslewicz (Counter-tenor)

Born: Germany

The German counter-tenor, Philipp Cieslewicz, studied Jazz piano studies at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in Munich, the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" in Weimar with Professor Leonid Chizhik, and at the Universität für Musik Graz.

Philipp Cieslewicz Philipp lives as a freelance pianist, music pedagogue and singer in Berlin. He is lecturer for Jazz piano at the Hochschule für Musik Weimar, and the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, as well as at various music schools in Berlin. Numerous concerts in Germany and abroad with various jazz formations. He is still working as a counter-tenor in various early music vocal ensembles, including Vocalconsort Berlin, Vox Nostra, Schola Stralsundensis, Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius), and NoonSong. He is also correpetitor of the solo and ensemble class Winnie Brückner.
