Manuel Cid-Jimenez (Tenor)

Born: Seville, Spain

The Spanish tenor, Manuel Cid-Jimenez, graduated with distinction from the Conservatory of Seville. He went to the Mozarteum in Salzburg to specialize in German-speaking operas, Lieder and oratorios.

Since then Manuel Cid-Jimenez has sung in many European cultural centers, such as London, Munich, Vienna, Paris and Barcelona, ​​worked with important conductors (Sergiu Celibidache, Igor Markevitch) and orchestras (London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de France). In addition to the works of the German language, he also has sung and recorded works of Spanish composers, e.g. Luis de Pablo's Sonidos de la Guerra. In 1989, he sang sang under the direction of Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos together with Victoria de Los Angeles and Vicente Sardinero at the Festival de Santander. In May 1999, he sang at the Concert House Berlin in the world premiere of Antón García Abril‘s Alhambra and Manuel de Falla's La vida breve with Radio-Symphonie-Orchester-Berlin and Ernst Senff Chor Berlin under the direction of Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.
