The Taiwanese pianist, Chia-Chen Chian studied at National Wuling High School (國立武陵高級中學 ) in Taoyuan District, Taoyuan. Since 2009, she is working on her Master of Music degree at the Hochschule der Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover in Germany (expected 2019). She has won prizes at various international competitions. In May 2015, she won the 1st prize at the Ile de France International Piano Competition in the Concert Artist Category. She was among about 200 competitors who took part in the piano competition held in France. In July 2015, she won the 1st prize in the category Young Promises at the III Concurs Internacional Piano "Vila de Xàbia" in Jávea, Spain.
Chia-Chen Chian gives recitals in Europe and Taiwan. Her repertoire is varied and includes works by J.S. Bach (Goldberg Variations BWV 988), J. Haydn, F. Schubert, Robert Schumann, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, Sergei Rachmaninov, M. Ravel. |
