Antoine Chauveau (Baritone)

Born: France

The French baritone, Antoine Chauveau, bergan singing in a choir during his engineering studies at Grenoble. On his return to Paris, he joined the class of Caroline Pelon at the Conservatoire du VIIe arrondissement. He obtained his DEM ((Musical Studies Diploma)) in 2005. This mixed early music / classical music class allows him to address varied repertoirte from Baroque to contemporary.

During his studies, Antoine Chauveau he continues to sing in chorus and perform, including in Le Jeune Chœur de Paris directed by Laurence Equilbey and Geoffroy Jourdain. This was an opportunity to participate in many contemporary a-cappella works. It was the first he performed music by French composer on stage: he sang the roles of Aronte and Ubalde in Lully's Armide; then Don Carlos in L'Europe galante by Campra under the direction of Laurence Puis; then it was with the role Uberto in La Serva Padrona by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi in a staging by Ghislaine Lenoir that he could fully demonstrate his acting talents. The show was first given in the region of ​​Vichy and Paris. L'académie Pramenoux also offered him the opportunity to sing Papageno in a programme offering arias and ensembles extracts from W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
