Founded in 1991, Capriccio is a string ensemble of exceptionally able school-age players selected widely from around the North-West, led and coached by gifted young professionals. Some members have also played in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain or the National Children's Orchestra, often going on to music college and the profession.
Capriccio performs both with the William Byrd Singers and on its own. The ensemble performed J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 3 at the Royal Northern College of music in February 2005. |
