Srdjan Bulat (Guitar)

Born: October 20, 1986 - Split, Croatia

The Croatian classical guitarist, Srdjan Bulat, studied from 2005 to 2008 at the Academy of Arts; University of Split, Croatia, receiving Bachelor of Music degree (undergraduate course) with professor Goran Listeš and Rector's award for the academic year 2006-2007. From 2008 to 2010, he studied at the Academy of Music; University of Zagreb, Croatia, graduating Summa cum laude with Master of Music degree (graduate course) with Professor Darko Petrinjak, and was Dean's award recipient for the academic year 2008-2009 and Rector's award recipient for the academic year 2009-2010. Since 2011, he studies at the Academy of Music; University of Zagreb, Croatia, where he has Postgraduate specialist study with Professor Darko Petrinjak; his Specialist thesis: Contemporary Croatian music for classical guitar. Since 2012, he also studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, England for Master of Arts degree in performance (postgraduate course) with professor Michael Lewin; in 2012 he was ABRSM International Fees Scholarship winner.

Srdjan Bulat has won top prizes in almost all of the most prestigious international competitions for classical guitarists, including the first prize in the 2011 'Francisco Tarrega' competition in Benicassim, Spain (see detailed list below).

Srdjan Bulat has also recorded a successful solo CD for Naxos which was released in September 2012.
