The American pianist, Frederick Blum, began playing at the age of 4 and at the age of 7 was at the Juilliard School, New York. He completed his bachelor and masters there and since then has been distinguished with numeruous awards, including 3^rd place at the International Busoni competition, and 4^th prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition of 1979 (the 3^rd prize winner of that competition was the Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt).

Frederick Blum lives now in Munich, Germany.
