Francescantonio Bille (Tenor)

Born: 1974 - Italy

The Italian tewnor, Francescantonio Bille, studied at Conservatorio di Musica “F. Cilea” (RC) and with M° Antonio Bevacqua in Messina. He received Menzione d’Onore at the XIII International Competition “F. Cilea”, RC. In 2003 he won at the International Competition “M. Battistini”, Rieti, and he debuted the role of Ernesto in G. Donizetti's Don Pasquale in Rieti, Roma at Teatro Romano, Lecce, Reggio Emilia, Lisboa, Nice. Finalist of the International Competition “Comunità Europea” 2004 for young liric singers, 58° edition in Spoleto. Winner of the International Competition “Città di Taurianova”, RC., edition 2004.

Francescantonio Bille made his debut in: W.A. Mozart's Bastiano e Bastiana at Teatro Comunale di Reggio Calabria “F. Cilea”, R. Leoncavallo's Pagliacci in Montalto Uffugo (CS), C. Orff's Carmina Burana in Modena. Elisir d’Amore (G. Donizetti) - Ascoli P. T. “Ventidio Basso”, Palermo “Politeama”, Teatro Sociale di Rovigo. In 2004 he participated at “Rossini in Wildbald Belcanto OperaFestival” Festival in Bad Wildbald (Germany), singing L’amor coniugale by Simone Mayr with M° Christopher Franklin, recording a CD of the same opera (Naxos label) and Barbiere di Siviglia (G. Rossini). He partecipated at the first festival of opera buffa “ Festivalatilla” Casamassima (Ba) in D. Scarlatti's La Dirindina. He sang in Catania in Franz Lehar La Vedova Allegra .

Since 1999 Francescantonio Bille is tenor in the important choir of Cappella Musicale Pontificia "SISTINA". His work is also remarkable in the field of sacred music: he collaborates with important institutions and institutions. In May 1997 he sang with the orchestra and choir of Consevatorio F.Cilea di Reggio Calabria for Giovanni Paolo II. For a project of RAI TV he sang W.A. Mozart's Missa C Dur with Sergio Siminovich. With P.I.M.S. (Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra) in Rome he sang Rossini's Petite Messe Solemnelle conducted by Walter Marzilli, Requiem K 626 by W.A. Mozart at the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome conducted by Valentino Miserachs Grau; Missa Brevis K 4 by W.A. Mozart, Cantata Den herr an uns BWV 196 by J.S. Bach (2012) also under Walter Marzilli. In Novara for Festival Internazionale di Musica Sacra “Isabella Leonarda” he sang Vesparae Solemnes de Confessore by W.A. Mozart. In 2011, at the 100th anniversary of the Pontifical Institute, Stabat Mater by Licinio Refice's in Rome at the Sala Accademica del PIMS conducted by Valentino Miserachs Grau, director of the institute until 2012. He sung and in Rome with Associazione Musicale “Franco Maria Saraceni“ of Sapienza University of Rome with M° Emiliano Randazzo. For the 150 Unità d’Italia he sang in a concert accompained at the piano by Rolando Nicolosi.
