The Kantorei der Bergkirche (Bergkirchenkantorei) consists of about 70 singers from Wiesbaden and the surrounding area. In the weekly rehearsals they prepare several choral and orchestral concerts per year, and bring the music to their audience in the acoustically excellent choral music appropriate for church performances. Regular members also make music in worship. The programmes include works of classical oratorios and choral literature, but are also daring performance concepts procure advanced much beyond the main routes. Since 1993, the Kantorei der Bergkirche are directed by the Kantor Christian Pfeifer. |
