Bo Aurehl (Choral Conductor)

Born: Sweden

The Swedish choral conductor, Bo Aurehl, has worked as music instructor and choir leader in the prestigious Adolf Fredrik music school, choirmaster at Malmo State Theatre and also at Deutsche Grammophon for the recording company Polygram.

When his students from the Children´s Choir, and from the Boys Choir in Adolf Fredrik music school grew up, Bo Aurehl managed to gather the best of them and created the Chamber Choir "Svenska Röster" (Swedish Voices) in 1988. In 1994 he set up the highly successful Music Production company Habanera, which is responsible for some of Sweden's largest musical events. In 2005 he set up the Stockholm Singers, an accomplished mixed voice, concert chamber choir.

Having been a student at the Kodály-institute i Kecskemét during the 1980's, Bo Aurehl later returned there to teach during the International summer classes.
