The German bass-baritone, Markus Auerbach, had his first musical training with the Freiburger Domsingknaben, after first singing lessons with Hans-Josef Overmannn. In 1991 he started studying physics, in parallel, he studied singing at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with W. Toll and Professor Heuer-Christen. Master-classes, with among others, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, rounded off his education. In 2002 he received scholarship of Dr.-Ing. at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.
Markus Auerbach focuses his concert activities in the Lieder and oratorio areas; om a project basis, he also sings operatic roles (Traviata, Cosi fan tutte). Concert tours have taken him to France, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Switzerland and Ukraine. He has also worked in several radio and CD recordings (including with SWR and HR). In 1999 he won the first Pricz of the Musikhochschule Freiburg. In 2006 he sang in the first modern revival of opeara pasticcio Giove in Argo by George Frideric Handel at the Markgräflichen Opernhaus Bayreuth in the role of Erasto /
Osiris. |
