Originele Duitse tekst [Original German Text]

Nederlandse vertaling [Dutch Translation]

1. Choral

1. Koraal [S, A, T, B]

Der Tag der ist so freudenreich
aller Kreature;
denn Gottes Sohn vom Himmelreich
über die Nature
von einer Jungfrau ist geborn.
Maria, du bist auserkorn,
dass du Mutter wärest.
Was geschah so wundergleich?
Gottes Sohn vom Himmelreich,
der ist Mensch geboren.

De dag is zo vreugdevol
voor de hele schepping;
want Gods zoon is uit het hemelrijk
op bovennatuurlijke wijze
uit een maagd geboren.
Maria, u bent uitverkoren
om moeder te worden.
Wat is er zo wonderbaarlijk gebeurd?
Gods zoon uit het hemelrijk
is als mens geboren.
