The Malaysian Tenor, Ang Tze Yu (Chinese: 洪子佑 ), received his degree in Church Music from Te Deum Music Workshop. He was awarded 3rd place award in Malaysia 38th National Classical Singing Competition (Central Zone) and was one of the ten finalists in Malaysia’s Christian solo competition under the teaching of tenor Solomon Chong. He then studied under Dr. Yap Jin Hin and received 3rd place award in Malaysia 42nd National Vocal Competition (Central Zone) and was one of the eight finalists in 2016.
Ang Tze has performed many sacred works including George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, J.S. Bach’s Mass in B minor (BWV 232), Cantatas, and Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244), Haydn’s Die Schöpfung and W.A. Mozart’s Requiem in D minor. He now works as a choir conductor in En You Methodist Church and in St. Gabriel Church in Kuala Lumpur.. |
